Keys to a Successful Camp

¨       Contact the college coaches you are seriously interested in playing for and let them know you will be attending the Elite Showcase Recruiting Camp and Tournament.  Let them know what sessions you are in during the camp and what times and fields your games will be played at during the tournament.  Coaches want to know you care about them as much as you want them to care about you!  Be proactive; don't make them look for you.

¨       Insure that you get a good night’s sleep the day before the camp.  A rested player will always perform at a higher level for a longer period of time.

¨       Drink water during the camp to keep yourself hydrated.  Even in cool weather, you can become dehydrated.

¨       Look professional!  Dress appropriately; most players wear their summer team uniforms.  Be sure to tuck in your jersey.  A sloppy looking player shows the coaches your attitude.  If you dress sloppy, you will tend to practice & play the same.

¨       Maintain your focus at all times.  That one split second you are not paying attention could be the one a college coach is watching.

¨       Always act professional; communicate with other players, be involved. Coaches like to see players that are out for the team, not just for themselves.

¨       Make sure you have all equipment needed for the camp sessions you will be attending. Part of being a good player is making sure you are always prepared.

¨       Make sure that your equipment is in good shape so that it doesn’t become an issue during the camp.

¨       Be prepared; make sure you arrive at the camp in plenty of time to go through the check-in process and to properly warm up.  It is recommended that you arrive at least one hour prior to the start of your earliest session time.

¨       Be considerate of others and insure your and others safety at all times.  We don’t want you or anyone else to get hurt and miss what should be a great experience for all.

¨       REMEMBER you camp number.  This is your key to accessing your speeds and timings.  We will post the results on the Showcase Website within a few days after completion of the Showcase Tournament.

¨      HUSTLE!!!  Too many times we see players walking to their position, walking with their head down, and just not showing hustle.  The coaches are watching, show them your best at all times!

Be professional about everything you do.  There is ALWAYS someone watching!!!
